Kocour-Auther Group Family Real Estate History~ It Is In Our Blood:
Frank Kocour (Brian's father) was a banker for 15 years, and then changed professions to commercial real estate. He partnered in a commercial property management firm specializing in the fee management and leasing of multi-family housing and commercial properties. One year later he bought out his partner and focused the company activities only on commercial properties, leasing and fee managing approximately 65 office, medical and retail projects in the greater Phoenix, Arizona area.

In 1988 the company direction turned to exclusive tenant/buyer representation, focusing on retail and industrial properties. Kocour Company, an Arizona corporation, enjoys an excellent reputation and is considered one of the premier firms representing tenants and buyers in the state of Arizona, representing small to medium sized businesses. Frank is a licensed real estate broker.

Jim Auther (Courtney's father) of Oak's Development has worked in the brokerage community for over 30 years. Starting at CB in Phoenix, he then moved to Kansas City where he opened the CB office and then onto Southern California, where he worked at Lee & Associates and Grubb & Ellis in the Newport Beach offices for over 20 years specializing in tenant rep, retail brokerage and new development.

John Auther (Courtney's Grandfather) now retired, began at the CB Phoenix office in 1954 where he worked for almost 20 years. After doing all of their leasing, John became a partner at Westcor in 1973 where he continued to be in charge of their leasing efforts and shopping center/ mall developments.
